Bookbinding Materials
Our bookbinding materials are being added to the online purchase area of the site piece by piece. Various types of bookcloth are already on the site, as well as endpapers, headbands, bookscrews, and more, and they can be viewed and ordered online here. We also sell brushes, needles, linen thread, japanese repair tissue and more. A current (May 2009) price list of all our bookbinding materials can be downloaded here. Bookbinding Courses  | "Introduction to Bookbinding"This beginners' course is taught by Rosemarie Jeffers-Palmer, but run by Sydney Community College each school term. This is an 8 week course, and classes are held at 184 Enmore Road, Enmore, from 6.30pm to 9.00pm on Tuesday evenings. In this course you will make 4 books, and through them learn the basics of book construction and the correct procedures in the handling of various tools and materials. This course is held every term. Bookings must be made through the college either online at www.sydneycommunitycollege.com.au, or you can call them on (02) 8752 7555. This is an extremely popular course and is very quickly booked out, so if you are interested, contact the Sydney Community College. The next course starts end July 2009. |  | Powerhouse Museum One day Bookbinding WorkshopLearn the traditional craft of bookbinding with Rosemarie in a one day workshop at the Powerhouse museum. To be held on Sunday the 17th and 24th May, 10.30 to 3.30pm. Using traditional techniques and tools you can design, create and bind your very own book to take home.
