This course will introduce students to the next stage of secure binding - laced in boards with a hollow back structure. It involves the repair and rebind of a section stitched hardcover book published prior to 1950. The new covers may be done in a traditional or contemporary style. This is a 6 week course taught by Rosemarie Jeffers-Palmer for students who have completed the Bookbinding Introduction and Continued courses. Most of the materials used will be supplied - students will need to have their own basic kit of tools (email rosemarie@sydneybookbinding.com for details of the basic kit.)
